Let me say this: I love my mother-in-law. She's the only 68-year old woman I know who goes to aerobics every day (or is it Jazzercise?). However, she's not without her "quirks." She says the word, "EEK" like no other, she once asked if we watched the "Tenors" when she meant to say the "Sopranos" and she recently served my son wine in a sippy cup. Erin and I like to threaten her with all the fun things we'll do with her once she's in a nursing home.
But you gotta love her. She's generous, she's a great cook and she likes sports. I affectionately refer to her as, "Ma." When she said she was going to go trick or treating this year, she mentioned she was dressing up as a lobster. Unfortunately, when she showed up at my house, she hadn't tried on her lobster hat and found it didn't fit her:
Imagine the laugh I had when I went into Will's school on Wednesday for their Halloween party. I noticed one of the teachers had this home-made lobster costume on, replete with the same lobster hat my mother-in-law tried to wear for trick or treating. Upon further view of this teacher, I noticed she was wearing it the right way - beanie style. I took a picture (actually Will took it) of me wearing this hat (it was left behind at my house) properly:
Love you Ma!

Bad, Bad and Bad. Wendy, you are out of the will!
By the way, where did the velcro tabs go?
Behind my head, where they are supposed to go.
Will, what will? Didn't I say you were a good cook??
I think you're perfect Ma. ...and the lobster bonnet is adorable on you. It's actually quite similar to the one Wendy and I have picked out for you that you will wear with your adult-sized diaper in a few years when you have lost all of your senses and we "take care of you".
Good times ahead!
That's it! I'm giving all of my money to the Labotomy Foundation!
